What does my fundraising support?
Ovarian Cancer Action is the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity and our mission is to fund game changing breakthroughs that will save lives. By taking on a charity challenge, you’ll be fuelling lifesaving research, working towards our goal of making ovarian cancer a survivable disease. And, if you’re happy to share more about why you're running and what the cause means to you, you’ll help raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms, so people know how to spot the signs sooner.
Will Ovarian Cancer Action support me to fundraise?
Our friendly fundraising team is here to support you with your fundraising every step of the way. We can provide advice, materials, and ideas to help you smash your fundraising target. We allow our runners 4-6 weeks after the event to reach the minimum fundraising target, so there is plenty of time to collect sponsorship and raise as much as possible to support our vital work.
I think the London Landmarks is too far away from me
London Landmarks Half Marathon is often cited as the best marathon in the UK as the event takes in historic tourist sights and stunning city views. So, why not make a full weekend of it, experiencing the iconic Palace of Westminster, a spin on the London Eye for panoramic views over the Thames or visiting one of a huge selection of museums and galleries along the South Bank including the Tate Modern.
Why run for Ovarian Cancer Action?
Marian Drew, who took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for us explains how supporting the charity spurred her onto her fastest ever race.
"I loved every second! The crowds were superb and the British humour came to the fore which made me laugh although at times I felt overwhelmed with the reason for running. I will never forget it and to ‘put icing on the cake’, I achieved a PB!"
