Ovarian Cancer Action is the UK’s ovarian cancer research charity. From funding scientists on the front line, to mobilising millions of people across the UK to take action – we’re driven by a vision of a world without ovarian cancer and a belief that we can create a better future.

All positions are working remotely from home for the time being with occasional Covid-safe face-to-face meetings if necessary. 

Trustees

Ovarian Cancer Action is looking for Trustees to play an essential role in the governance of the charity, ensuring that the way OCA is governed is to the highest possible standard. Trustees will oversee the strategic direction of the charity, working alongside the Chief Executive and senior staff in accordance with the charity’s objectives, vision and values. The Trustee will also maintain direct contact with the Chair.

Fundraising Trustee

This Trustee role will bring insight and expertise to support our development and fundraising ambitions in order to increase its impact. The successful candidate will chair the Fundraising and Communications Committee of Ovarian Cancer Action, which oversees its fundraising and communications strategy. They will support robust performance measurement of fundraising and communication activity and ensure that strategies converge and align cross functionally to deliver cohesive, best practice outcomes.

Commercial Trustee

We're looking for a Commercial Trustee to play an essential role in the governance of the charity, ensuring that the way Ovarian Cancer Action is governed is to the highest possible standard. This Trustee role will bring senior leadership experience within a commercial organisation, for example an entrepreneur, a leaders with business development or having held a C-level position within a business. The successful applicant will have a commercial background able to support the charity through its next stages of growth, contributing to developing strategy to support sustainable scaling.

Ovarian Cancer Action Board Trustee and Member of Research Committee

Further, we are looking for a Trustee with a research specialism and the specific experience, knowledge and skills in medical research as an academic researcher and/or clinician. Ideally, you will be a senior academic who is active in the research and/or clinical field.Stay up to date with the latest vacancies.
