Hollyoaks

We've been working with Hollyoaks to shape Diane's ovarian cancer story. Together, we hope to develop more than just a soap opera storyline. We hope to spark conversation, spread awareness, and most importantly, encourage more women to listen to their bodies.

Hollyoaks Diane is diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Longstanding character Diane Hutchinson is facing a life-changing ovarian cancer diagnosis.

It's a storyline as devastating as it is important, and one that's been developed in close collaboration with Ovarian Cancer Action - to ensure the realities faced by women living with the disease are reflected on screen.

Ovarian cancer stages

Diane is diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer. She becomes one of 7,500 women diagnosed in the UK each year.

Unfortunately, like Diane, most women are diagnosed at a later stage - when survival is at it's lowest. The truth is that over 50% of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage of ovarian cancer.

We're trying to change this. Through our Research Centre, we're working hard to tackle the hardest challenges in ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment.
