Announcement: The Rausing Trust’s Charity Survival Fund

28 October 2020

We are delighted to announce that Ovarian Cancer Action has been awarded a grant from the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust’s Charity Survival Fund. The fund was set up at the height of the pandemic in direct response to the charity sector's urgent call for operational funding. Like many charities, our fundraising has been badly hit by the cancellation of events, and yet, our services have never been needed more as cancer patients have been some of the hardest hit during this pandemic.

“We are inspired by the generosity of Mr and Mrs Rausing and their Trust who responded quickly to our sector’s need for support” shares Emily Legg, Head of Fundraising at Ovarian Cancer Action. “This generous grant allows us to focus our energy on what really matters: supporting women with ovarian cancer through the pandemic, encouraging those with symptoms to still go to the GP and continuing to fund research for the next generation, so more women will survive ovarian cancer. We would like to sincerely thank the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust for making this happen.”
