Fantastic fundraisers - Autumn 2022

19 October 2022

Fundraising promise

As autumn rolls in, we're bowled over but the amazing lengths you go to, to support Ovarian Cancer Action and help us make ovarian cancer a survivable disease for all women. Here's some highlights we've seen on social media and in our inbox. If you'd like your fantastic fundraising experiences shared, please contact fundraising@ovarian.org.uk

Christine and team (above) were part of 96 riders who took on the 2nd annual Welsh Women on Wheels. They raised a brilliant £1600 for OCA. Way to go team!

Scaling incredible heights

Gift Hamisi shared her story with us back in 2017 and now she's gone a step further...well actually thousands of steps further and higher, climbing Mt Toubkai, North Africa's highest peak. She smashed her fundraising target and wore a t-shirt with her mum's photo on as she reached the top, 'so she could take a piece of her to the summit'. She shared with us this incredible photo from her ascent.

Brothers in arms brilliance on bikes

Jamie Gold 6.jpeg

Brothers Jamie and Nick Gold cycled from London to Paris, in honour of Jamie's wife who passed away from ovarian cancer. They raised a fantastic £5k. We're so proud to have you on our team.

We are constantly inspired by the incredible things that you do to support our vital work. Your help means that together we can make much faster progress to lead to ovarian cancer becoming a survivable disease.

Do you have an awesome fundraising idea? We would love to hear from you!
