The event is a fantastic excuse to go away for the weekend. There's lots to see in London, not least the four stunning Royal Parks you will run through. Buckingham Palace, the London Eye or one of the huge selection of museums and galleries, there's something for everyone. The run itself is a unique and fantastic way to sightsee some of the capital's most famous landmarks.
Why run for Ovarian Cancer Action?
Amanda, who took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon for us explains how supporting the charity helped her to the half marathon distance:
"Running the Royal Parks was not only a personal goal but part of a movement to fight and hopefully cure a disease that affects so many people’s lives and families at all different stages of life.
That hill at mile 11? Well, it’s done, I did it, knowing that the money I raised from donations will bring real change to women’s lives. And personally? There’s no better feeling... Stick your trainers on and go!"
