The Leap

Welcome to the Leap

We know that when we work together, we can make incredible changes happen. When a life-extending drug was recently made available to women with advanced ovarian cancer, our CEO Cary Wakefield called it a ‘quantum leap for women’. We know that this level of progress is needed to reach a world where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

This is why we have created the Leap, for the community of people who want to change the landscape of ovarian cancer; where this disease would be caught as early as possible, stopped in its tracks so that no-one need worry about ovarian cancer.

Be part of scientific breakthroughs

Ovarian cancer is the UK’s deadliest gynaecological disease and survival rates are shockingly low – lower than breast cancer survival rates were in the 1970s. Every day, a woman dies of ovarian cancer every two hours. It’s unacceptable.

We’re inspired by the huge strides that have been made in breast cancer research, the incredible improvement in survival rates because of scientific discoveries that have been made. We need ovarian cancer to take a leap forward out of the 1970's, join us and empower our researchers to make a change.

By joining the Leap you'll be supporting the incredible research we do, helping every woman who is faced with ovarian cancer by supporting our three main areas of scientific research: preventing the disease, diagnosing it early, and developing effective, personalised treatments.
