Ovarian cancer statistics

Key ovarian cancer statistics in the UK

  • 7500

people are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year

  • 4,142

people die from ovarian cancer each year

  • 20%

In the UK, around 7,500 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year.

Unfortunately, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed at a later stage, when survival is at its lowest.

Ovarian Cancer Action is committed to funding the research that saves lives by attacking the problem at every level; from developing better treatments so women with the disease can live longer, to developing a screening tool to ensure it is caught in its earliest stage.

Together we will find and fund the innovators who can beat this cancer.

The statistics below are shocking but they are ones that we hope - with your help - we will be able to change.
