Every year hundreds of supporters across the country join us and Walk In Her Name. Last year alone, 3,966 miles were walked - that's over 7,932,000 steps!
"You can Walk In Her Name in your own way. We were all there for one reason: to remember Heidi and the amazing person she was." – Gareth, OCA supporter
Let’s walk towards a world where no woman dies of ovarian cancer. Sign up today.
What is Walk In Her Name?
We believe that overcoming ovarian cancer is about working together. So, we’re asking you to join our fight and organise a walk in the name of a loved one who has or has had ovarian cancer.
Walk In Her Name is now in its fifth year and it’s the perfect way to celebrate the women living with ovarian cancer and remember the loved ones who are no longer with us. This year we want people to be able to walk it their way; from treks up a mountain to a couple of miles around the park, you can get the whole family together or walk on your own. There are so many ways to get involved!
"The Walk In Her Name event is a special time each year for us, where family and friends come together for a period of reflection, tribute and remembrance of my beautiful wife Aleasha" - Rob, OCA supporter
By hosting your own Walk In Her Name you will be helping us to fund scientific research, including the vital work of scientists at the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre and the University of Oxford. They have already made some exciting discoveries, which could lead to a screening tool for ovarian cancer. And an ability to screen women for the disease could save lives. Order your free walk organisers pack today!
March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and a great time to hold your walk. But you can Walk In Her Name whenever and wherever you want. Just let us know what you’re planning!
Will you walk with us to make this possible? Sign up today
