Furlough volunteer recruitment

Cropped laptop photo

If you find yourself on furlough during the Covid-19 crisis and have professional skills to offer OCA, then we would encourage you to think of volunteering your time and skills to help us transform the lives and prospects of women today and for generations to come.

Our primary objectives are to fund research to prevent women dying from ovarian cancer and to campaign to ensure women and healthcare providers know the risk factors, symptoms and treatment options to enable informed and rapid action. Our mission is to stop women dying of ovarian cancer but we can’t do it alone. We mobilise people to take action, to spread the word, to tell their stories, and raise the vital funds we need to beat the disease once and for all.

Therefore, if you have skills in the areas of Communications, Marketing and in particular good at working with data and familiar with Raisers Edge, or Fundraising then we would love to hear from you.

In return, we hope to give you an insight into working for a cancer charity whilst using your skills to good effect during Covid-19 and furlough.

Please see below for more detailed role briefs:

Our fundraising team is under increased pressure due to the Covid pandemic. We need to secure funds to ensure our research and support services can continue, and that we minimise any impact on ovarian cancer patients. The Fundraising Volunteer will assist the fundraising team in providing excellent supporter care to our community & challenge event fundraisers, driving participation in a safe and effective manner, and maximising income wherever possible.
