Furlough volunteer recruitment

If you find yourself on furlough during the Covid-19 crisis and have professional skills to offer OCA, then we would encourage you to think of volunteering your time and skills to help us transform the lives and prospects of women today and for generations to come.

Our primary objectives are to fund research to prevent women dying from ovarian cancer and to campaign to ensure women and healthcare providers know the risk factors, symptoms and treatment options to enable informed and rapid action. Our mission is to stop women dying of ovarian cancer but we can’t do it alone. We mobilise people to take action, to spread the word, to tell their stories, and raise the vital funds we need to beat the disease once and for all.

Therefore, if you have skills in the areas of Communications, Marketing and in particular good at working with data and familiar with Raisers Edge, or Fundraising then we would love to hear from you.

In return, we hope to give you an insight into working for a cancer charity whilst using your skills to good effect during Covid-19 and furlough.

Please see below for more detailed role briefs:

Experienced Individual Giving Volunteer

OCA is due to launch a new fundraising appeal in the coming months for our vital scientific research into ovarian cancer. We would be very grateful if a furloughed Individual Giving specialist could help us with any, or all, of the development, delivery, and monitoring and analysis of this campaign.
