Senior Community and Events Officer

Location: A hybrid of remote/home and office based working from a central London work-space of 2 days per week, subject to operational requirements and location of role holder. There may be occasional work outside of regular office hours at charity events (with time off in return).

Salary: circa £28-32k pa (dependant on experience)

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Permanent/full time

To support the development of the OCA events programme, providing excellent stewardship to Ovarian Cancer Action’s (OCA) community and in memory fundraisers, challenge eventers and wider event participants, to drive income, retention, and supporter loyalty in 2022 and beyond. 

You will be a part of the busy Fundraising Team, contributing to Community and Events innovation, planning, reporting, and supporting relevant cross team project work, as well as working with the Community and Events Manager to identify opportunities and tactics to strengthen and grow the portfolio. 

OCA has an ambitious new organisational strategy, but we know we cannot deliver that ambition and the change that is needed for women with ovarian cancer, without an ambitious fundraising strategy and team. Therefore, the fundraising team are at a very exciting phase of our growth and development, looking to expand from our current pool of incredibly loyal supporters to acquiring new supporters through new activities and ways of working, ensuring our supporters at the heart of all we do. The Senior Community & Events Officer is one of four, new and permanent roles within the growing fundraising team.
