Jo Stanford

Cancer Prevention Officer

Cancer prevention officer Jo Stanford

Jo is working hard to prevent ovarian cancer before it takes hold and is responsible for raising awareness of hereditary ovarian cancer and BRCA gene mutations. From making lots of noise about eligibility for testing, to helping supporters assess their family history, Jo’s goal is to reduce the incidence of cancer by helping people navigate the world of genetic testing and the preventative options available.

Mum to three boisterous boys with a fondness for food, Jo is driven by the loss of her mum to ovarian cancer. She knows all too well the impact of BRCA gene mutations as she carries one herself. Born in Quebec and now based in Warwickshire, Jo has a major maple syrup addiction which she balances out with the occasional all-day exercise event.
